Thrifting is a major interest for the Apartment Therapy community, so I leaned into the popular “starter pack” trend to highlight six essential items for a successful thrifting day. I collaborated with a freelance illustrator to bring this vision to life, resulting in a relatable and highly engaging visual concept that resonated with our audience.
-
In the winter, cozying up to your heater is a universal small pleasure, and I wanted to capture and capitalize on that familiar, relatable feeling. Working closely with our in-house illustrator, we created this warm, inviting graphic to represent that moment; designed to be engaging, easily shareable, and visually comforting.
-
To celebrate National Pet Day at Apartment Therapy, I developed a relatable social media campaign centered on the popular trend of staying in with pets rather than going out. I collaborated with our illustrator to design an engaging, shareable carousel featuring various animals that highlighted the joy of cozying up at home.
-
I developed a high-performing "hot takes" content series for Apartment Therapy by collaborating with our art team to transform controversial staff opinions into engaging, shareable carousels that drove significant audience interaction.
-
To build relatability with the Apartment Therapy audience, I focused on normalizing everyday home experiences. By collaborating with a freelance illustrator to create custom spot illustrations, we developed a visual format that became one of our highest-performing Instagram series to date.
-
For Valentine's Day, I collaborated with our in-house illustrator to create a heartwarming carousel series that celebrates the "love affair" between people and their favorite home decor pieces. By framing everyday homeware as the ultimate partners, we crafted a series of "love letters" that resonated deeply with our audience.
-
To capitalize on the growing "Apartment Cafe" trend, I collaborated with a freelance illustrator to create an engaging, step-by-step carousel that taught our audience how to recreate the cafe experience at home.
-
For National Thrift Shop Day, I aimed to celebrate the hobby by designing a visual that complemented a thrifted item. I collaborated with a freelance illustrator to bring this concept to life, resulting in a design that highlights the unique charm of thrifted finds.
-
To adapt a popular Apartment Therapy article on the art of “hurkle-durkle” for social media, I collaborated with a freelance illustrator to visualize and break down the anatomy of this cozy concept for our audience.
-
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I explored the intersection of home life and the five love languages by visualizing how each dynamic manifests in our daily environments. I collaborated with our in-house illustrator to translate these relational concepts into engaging, conceptual designs.
-
To highlight our community’s love for Little Free Libraries, I developed a concept centered on the popular "take what you need" mental health trend. I collaborated with our illustrator to create this beautiful, shareable design that promotes both community connection and personal well-being.
-
To celebrate awards season, I developed a playful social media concept that poked fun at the contrast between high-glamour red carpet looks and the reality of judging them from home in pajamas. Our in-house illustrator translated this relatable observation into a vibrant, eye-catching graphic.
-
To capitalize on the growing "trinket-maxxing" trend, I teamed up with a talented freelance illustrator to create a playful, vibrant graphic that joyfully celebrates the art of collecting, arranging, and styling distinctive knick-knacks.
-
Building on the proven success of our "hot takes" series, I developed a list of polarizing opinions designed to spark lively debate in the comments. I collaborated with our illustration team to translate these concepts into a highly shareable, visually engaging carousel that maximized audience interaction and reach.
-
Tapping into the enduring appeal of analogue experiences, I conceptualized an outdoor movie night theme for our social media channels. I collaborated with our illustrator to develop an engaging carousel that captures the cozy, curated essentials required for the perfect open-air cinema experience.
