If I had known as an emo teenager that all my time on social media would amount to something and become my career someday, I would've maybe been a little happier and less moody. After studying public relations and journalism in college, I discovered that I had a natural talent towards using social media as a tool for businesses through crafting copy, calls-to-action, graphic design, photography, video work, and strategy. Over the years I have put my creative skills to use through social media for various clients and companies. The following are a select few that I am the most proud of.
From September 2015 to May 2017, I was a member of Team Takei, who community manage celebrity George Takei's web presence. While on the team, we successfully raised his following and engagement an incredible amount. With over 10 million fans on Facebook alone, we were a leader in the fight for social justice and humor.
From June 2017 to August 2019, I was the social media producer for the travel publication Matador Network. I ran the Facebook and Instagram pages, built the weekly email newsletters, created viral content, liaised with the video and editorial teams, managed ads, compiled data on top performing content and engaged with the community across our social reach.
Allegiance On Broadway
The Broadway musical Allegiance, ran from October 2015 to February 2016 and during this time, I assisted in the creation and design of marketing materials for various social media platforms and advertising placements. I returned to the project to create promotional items for the December 2016 and February 2017 movie theatre releases.
As a social media influencer, I have had the opportunity to work with brands and accommodations on projects across the board. Whether I am testing out a new product that I photograph or style, writing a review of a hostel while traveling, doing an Instagram takeover for a company, I put my best self into the project and craft a final creative post or image that will entice my followers to give it a chance.
